200 customers in a rural area in Cornwall are to be the first to trial 4G connection from BT.
The system will use the 800Mhz spectrum to deliver fixed line broadband to customers in the South Newquay area without a decent connection.
The trial will tie up mobile broadband from Everything Everywhere, a merger between Orange and T-Mobile, using BT Wholesale's landlines.
Everything Everywhere will also test the 4G network with handsets and dongles.
